NapoleonCat is a full social media tool: scheduling, analytics, a team inbox and keyword-based auto-moderation across Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, LinkedIn and more. Tact does one narrow job: it answers comments on your Facebook and Instagram ads in the buyer's own dialect and sends buyers an order link in private. If you need the whole toolkit, pick NapoleonCat. If ad comments in Darija, Dziri or Gulf Arabic are what's eating your day, Tact fits better and costs less.
Disclosure first: Tact is our product. We wrote this to be useful even if you never sign up, so we say plainly where NapoleonCat is the better choice.
Key Takeaways
- NapoleonCat's auto-moderation runs on rules built from "events, conditions, and keywords" (NapoleonCat).
- It works on ad comments on Facebook, Instagram, TikTok and YouTube.
- Third-party listings put NapoleonCat at $89 to $139 a month, with auto-moderation likely on the top plan.
- Tact is comments only, in dialect, priced from 249 MAD a month.
What does NapoleonCat do with ad comments?
NapoleonCat's Auto-moderation feature moderates "messages and comments from posts and ads" across many profiles at once (NapoleonCat Auto-moderation). You build rules, and each rule fires on events, conditions and keywords. NapoleonCat says there is no limit on the number of keywords.
What a rule can do, according to NapoleonCat:
- Hide or delete comments with spam or hate speech.
- Reply automatically to repeat questions, like shipping or opening hours.
- Send a private reply with pricing, shipping or complaint details.
- Block users and forward urgent messages to your customer service team.
To avoid replies that all look the same, a rule can hold up to 20 versions of a response, and NapoleonCat picks one at random. Rules can run 24/7 or on a schedule.
Coverage is wide. NapoleonCat lists Facebook, Instagram, TikTok and YouTube for ad comments, plus LinkedIn for organic posts and Messenger for private messages. That's a real strength if you advertise on more than Meta.
NapoleonCat also lists an "AI Assistant" feature, and its trial includes unlimited AI Assistant actions (NapoleonCat pricing). The auto-moderation page we read does not say that AI reads each comment and writes the reply, so we treat AI replies on ad comments as not documented.
How much does NapoleonCat cost?
We couldn't read plan prices on napoleoncat.com: the pricing page we fetched on 26 October 2026 showed no figures in its text. What it did confirm is a 14-day free trial with no credit card, based on the Expert plan, with 5 seats, 10 social profiles and a 25,000-message inbox capacity (NapoleonCat pricing).
Third-party listings from 2026 put the plans at about $89 (Standard), $109 (Pro) and $139 (Expert) a month for 2 users and 5 profiles, lower on yearly billing (socialk.it; PostPlanify). Sources disagree on which plan includes auto-moderation. socialk.it says Expert, while Capterra lists it under Pro and shows older, lower prices. Check NapoleonCat's own pricing page before you budget.
Either way, you pay for a whole social suite. That's fair value if you use the scheduling and reports. It's a lot if you only want comments answered.
What does Tact do differently?
Tact reads each ad or post comment and writes a short public answer in the commenter's own language. That can be Moroccan Darija, Algerian Dziri, Gulf Arabic, Modern Standard Arabic, French or English, in Arabic or Latin letters. NapoleonCat's rules start from keywords you write. Tact starts from what the person meant.
What else it does:
- Sends one private message to buyers. When someone is ready to buy, Tact sends one Meta private reply (inside the 7-day window) with the product and an order link. The link goes to your product page or a WhatsApp wa.me chat.
- Hides spam under your ads and posts.
- Holds what it isn't sure about. Complaints and unclear comments go to a review queue for you, not to the AI.
- Checks facts before posting. Each reply is checked against your shop's real prices and links.
- Lets you change anything. You can edit or undo every reply.
- Uses Meta's official login.
What it doesn't do: scheduling, analytics, a full inbox, or TikTok, YouTube and LinkedIn. It's Facebook and Instagram comments only.
Tact is new, with no customers, reviews or results to show yet. Judge it on your own comments, not our word.
Where do keyword rules struggle with dialect comments?
Keyword rules work when buyers use the words you expected. They struggle where one question arrives in a dozen spellings.
Take a Moroccan ad for a hair oil. People ask the price as "bchhal", "ch7al", "chhal", "بشحال", "شحال", "9dach", "taman" or just "prix?". An Algerian buyer may write "قداش". A Saudi buyer writes "بكم". NapoleonCat has no keyword limit, so you can list them all. But you have to think of them first, and every spelling you miss is a buyer who hears nothing.
Then there are comments that look alike but need different handling. "Wach kayn livraison l Tanger?" (Is there delivery to Tangier?) is a buyer. "Chrit mn 3ndkom w mazal ma wslni" (I bought from you and it hasn't arrived) is a complaint that needs a person. A keyword like "livraison" or "wslni" can't reliably tell them apart. NapoleonCat's random reply versions help replies look less robotic, but they don't change what the rule understood.
For a cash-on-delivery or WhatsApp shop, the useful private message is the product, the price and a link to order. Our guide to hiding spam comments on Facebook and Instagram ads covers the cleanup side.

Who should pick which?
Pick NapoleonCat if:
- You need scheduling, reports and a shared inbox, not only comment replies.
- You advertise on TikTok, YouTube or LinkedIn as well as Meta.
- Your team works in English or French and buyers use predictable words.
- You manage many profiles or clients, like an agency.
- You want a mature tool with a long track record and public reviews.
Pick Tact if:
- Facebook and Instagram ad comments are your main pain.
- Buyers write in Darija, Dziri or Gulf Arabic, in Arabic or Latin letters.
- You sell cash on delivery or take orders on WhatsApp.
- You want buyers to get an order link in private, not "check your inbox".
- You'd rather pay in MAD for one job than in dollars for a full suite.
- You want unclear comments held for you, not answered by a bot.
Some shops could use both: NapoleonCat for publishing and reports, Tact for ad comment replies. If you're also weighing Meta's free tools, read Tact vs Meta Business Suite.

Frequently asked questions
Is there a cheaper NapoleonCat alternative for ad comments?
If ad comments are the only thing you need, yes. Tact starts at 249 MAD a month and only handles comments on Facebook and Instagram ads and posts. Third-party listings put NapoleonCat between $89 and $139 a month, but that price also covers scheduling, analytics and a team inbox across several networks.
Does NapoleonCat reply to comments with AI?
Its Auto-moderation page describes rules built from events, conditions and keywords, with up to 20 reply versions picked at random. It does not describe AI that reads the meaning of each comment. NapoleonCat also lists a separate AI Assistant, but how it works on ad comments is not documented on the pages we checked.
Can NapoleonCat moderate Facebook and Instagram ad comments?
Yes. NapoleonCat says its auto-moderation rules work on ads on Facebook, Instagram, TikTok and YouTube. Rules can hide or delete comments, send automatic replies, send private replies with details like prices, block users and forward urgent messages to your team.
Should I switch from NapoleonCat to Tact?
Only if comments are your real problem. If you use NapoleonCat for scheduling, reports or a shared inbox across many networks, Tact will not replace that. Tact fits when your ads get many comments in Darija, Dziri or Gulf Arabic and you sell cash on delivery or through WhatsApp.
