You can ask Tact to delete the data we hold about you at any time. How you do it depends on how you used Tact.
If you commented on, or messaged, a business that uses Tact
We hold your comment text, your public name or username, and your Meta-scoped ID. To delete it:
Option 1: from Facebook
- Open Facebook and go to Settings & privacy → Settings.
- Open Apps and websites (under Security, or Your activity).
- Find Tact and choose Remove, then confirm the request to delete your data.
Facebook sends us a deletion request automatically. We delete every comment record linked to your account right away and give you a confirmation code. You can check its status on this page at any time.
Option 2: by email
Email support@tact.app with the subject “Data deletion request” and include a link to your comment, or your Instagram username or Facebook name, plus the business you interacted with. We confirm deletion within 30 days, usually much sooner.
Deleting your data from Tact does not remove a comment you posted on Instagram or Facebook. You can delete that yourself on the post.
If you are a business using Tact
- Disconnect your accounts in the app, or remove Tact from your Facebook Business Integrations. We delete your access tokens immediately.
- To delete your whole workspace (comments, store data and settings), email support@tact.app from your account email. We complete it within 30 days.
What we keep
We may keep a minimal record that a deletion happened (the confirmation code and date) to prove we honoured it, and anything the law requires us to keep. See our Privacy Policy for details.
